Melissa has experience in health care regulatory policy and implementation at both the federal and state levels.
Prior to joining Sirona Strategies, Melissa spent five years at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in the Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight. There, she worked on a range of Affordable Care Act implementation activities, including the development of the eligibility and verification systems for the federal insurance marketplace and on the regulation and oversight of new consumer protection provisions for the federal and state marketplaces and consumer assistance grant programs.
She also has experience in issues related to Medicaid eligibility, verification, and pharmaceutical policy after working alongside the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services, working in the Office of the Governor of Alabama, and advising the Massachusetts Medicaid program as part of her Master’s Practicum.
Melissa holds a BS from Cornell University and an MPP from the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government.
